What a Relaxing Weekend

As you can tell form the pictures below, we didn't really do much this weekend. Yesterday Josh and Tinslea went to town to rent a movie and stopped by to visit his Mom and Dad for a bit. Today, we didn't leave the house -At All - That's what I call a relaxing day :) Mom and Dad came over to visit and brought us supper. They had been here for about 30 minutes and Tinslea got Dad's shoes took them to him, then took Mom her shoes, and went in her room got her tennis shoes and brought them to the living room. Next she took Dad's coat to him and went running to her room yelling "Jacket". She really thought she was going with them. As always Tinslea gets her way. They drove her to town and went to Sonic - to get her a cup of ice (her favorite) - then brought her home :)

Daddy decided to get in Tinslea's bed, She thought it was VerY FunnY!
Feeding her Baby Annabelle -

She loves to make sure her babies are nice and warm - You can't tell but there is a baby under all the blankets and towels.

Drinking Griffey's Water With A Shovel

Trip to the Mall

Lastnight Dad, Jodi, Josh, Tinslea and I took a trip to the mall for the Cinn. Reds autograph session. Things didn’t quite go as planned – they were supposed to start the autograph session at 7:00pm so we got there at 6:45 pm. Much to our surprise, they had forgotten about the time –zone difference and had to be gone by 7:30 pm. When we got there we were the 150th person in line, we waited for about 20-25 minutes and didn’t hardly move so we figured it was a waste of time since they would be leaving. BUT, Dad go some pics, and Jodi had her pic taken with Gapper – Tinslea was terrified and wouldn’t go near him. After the disappointment we settled for supper in the mall. I’ve included a video of Tinslea eating noodles with Dad – She calls them WORMS!!

Check this out she was holding on so tight Dad wasn't even holding her.
Gapper, he was upset because Jodi left him :(

ANd THIS....she decided to undress in the mall ????

Melting Away

We waited a little too long to go out and play...the snow had pretty much melted away. We spent more time getting her dressed than we did outside.

Tinslea fell,

And didn't like it
She was frozen at this point...she couldn't even slide.

Home Sweet Home

After a weekend of basketball, we’re finally home! Josh and Lockett took the 6th and 7th grade girls to a tournament in Louisville. We were there all day yesterday and all day today. I was hoping for some down time to be able to shop but that didn’t quite happen. We were go go going the whole time. After eating supper lastnight with many of the players and their parents we didn’t get back to the room lastnight until 11:30 pm and had to be back at the gym at 7:30am this morning.
Tinslea stayed with MeMe and Pa while we were gone. Yesterday Mom, Dad, Tinslea and Zac went to Owensboro to shop and watch BC play. Mom said Tinslea and Zac had a BIG time together!! Today Tinslea went to church then just hung out and played.
Josh and I were really excited to get home so we could see our baby girl…But she apparently didn’t share the excitement. When Josh and I walked in Mom and Dad’s Tinslea just went on playing, she didn’t seem to miss us as much as we missed her : (
Rock of Love Bus and Desperate Housewives will be coming on soon, is it sad I look forward to those shows every Sunday?!?

Sinus Infection

I feel like I’m always writing about Tinslea being sick! Monday when we got her from school I could tell by her eyes she was sick. I immediately called the Dr. to schedule her an appointment for Tuesday, then Grandma and Poppie to see if they could take her. My next call was to Mom to see if she could keep her overnight and take her to Grandmas Tuesday morning so we didn’t have to get her up so early. I hate leaving her when she’s sick, I just feel like she needs me, but in this case I knew it would be easier. She ended up not having such a good night. She and Mom were up and down all night then at 3:30 she was up for good ! Dad was at work so she called him and talked for a while and they just played. Now if that were Jodi and I sick or not I don't think we would have been allowed to just PLAY at 3:30 am - an NO she didn't go back to sleep!

As Tinslea went back to her room at the Dr.s office Melissa (Dr. Smith’s nurse) said “Tinslea where is your Mommy”. This was the first time EVER I’ve not taken her to the Dr. : ( It was a little sad, but I knew she was in good hands. Other than her regular check-ups she’s only been maybe 4 of 5 times so I feel like pretty blessed she's been a healthy child this far. The diagnosis of yesterday’s visit was a sinus infection.

She’s much better today and hopefully tomorrow will bring more improvement!

Another Baby On The Way...But NOT From The Belchers

Congrats to one of my Best and Oldest Friends DD and Jeremy Overton, they are expecting their first little one on September 9, 2009! I'm so excited for the two of them. They both have love for children, and will do a wonderful job raising one in a Christian home.

We had a few visitors today, DD and Jeremy came over to pick up some clothes to take to DD's sister Stacye. It was nice to visit with them, we hadn't seen them in a while. It seems that as we all get older you visit less and less. As they were leaving Jeremy picked up the two boxes and Tinslea looked at him and said "Mine". My long lost sister Jodi and Jared also decided to stop by! I have to give her a hard time - we went a few weeks without seeing her!!!

I hope everyone has another wonderful week of work :)

Spelling Test Update

Update on the Spelling Test Hunter made a 101%! Way to go Hunt :)
This morning we got up bright and early to go see Zac play basketball. Tinslea only ran out on the court 1 time so I was pretty pleased. She just wanted to see ZAC. During the game she was yelling “Go Zac”. After the game she went home with Mom so Josh and I are going to do laundry and paint the trim. We are going to meet then later at the GC vs BC game.
Since I didn’t blog yesterday I do want to mention that yesterday was Dad’s Birthday. I’m going to try to get the proper cords to upload videos from my phone because I have the cutest one I would love to share. I videoed Tinslea saying “Happy Birthday” to Pa, except it sounds more like “Ha Burbay”!
Below are Christmas Pictures we had taken of Hunter, Jake, Tinslea and Taylor for Grandma and Poppie for Christmas…Hope you like them, I certainly did.

Spelling Words

Just a quick blog for tonight:

Jessi, Charlie, Hunter and Jake stopped by for a little while this afternoon. As always the kids (all 3 of them) went crazy. Jake was riding the tricycle around the house while Hunter was pushing Tinslea on the train. Hunter got in trouble several times (by Charlie and Jessi) for pushing her too fast, but the faster he went the harder she laughed. When he stopped pushing she sat on the train and yelled “Hunna”!
As they were leaving I ask Hunter if he was ready for his spelling test tomorrow. He didn’t answer, just said “s-l-e-d, at” I was cracking up Jessi was like “ No Hunter thats sled, your bonus word”! Then he tried again, at a-t, bat b-a-t, cat k-a-t (that’s a hard one for them to understand – but he got it on the second try). Good Luck on your test tomorrow Hunt!

This and That

Thanks everyone for the comments on the last post. The design wasn’t exactly what I wanted, I thought the pictures would be a little larger, but oh well!

OK so it seems life is really just passing by too fast. Sunday I found myself exchanging texts with my little cousin Zac (he’s in first grade), earlier tonight I was on the phone with Jessi and I could hear Hunter in the background practicing his spelling words (Kindergarten), and Addison called tonight to see if we would order Girl Scout cookies – and she sounded like a little lady! Since when did these kids get SO big.

The past two days back haven’t been too bad. Once I get over the Wednesday hump it’s smooth sailing because I finish up the week in the office. Josh and Tinslea are also doing fine. I can really tell a difference when she goes to school…they wear her out! She has been staying up until like 8:30 but tonight we was ready at 7:30-she’s back on schedule!

Is anyone watching any of the new show that have started up? Josh and I are addicted to Rock of Love, I mean seriously! We’ve not missed an episode – not even on Rock of Love Charm School. Sunday night was the premier of Rock of Love Bus-OHHH was it a show, these girls are nuts! – But we’ll continue to watch it :) And of course, Desperate Housewives! We had to wait and watch it lastnight on the computer because we can’t get channel 13. Tonight, I believe we’ll watch the Bachelor online…What would be do without the computer?!?

Back to Work We Go

Yesterday was my first day back and although I did get a lot accomplished, UGH I'm just not ready to go back. But, I guess that's just part of life, most don't get off for 2 weeks like we do so I guess we'll live.
Today we did NOTHING at all, and boy was it nice! Josh and Tinslea did go to Sonic to get some ice, Tinslea LOVES Sonic ice. Since she is deprived and we don't give her much of anything and she is only allowed milk and water to drink - she thinks Sonic ice is the BEST thing ever! As soon as we pull in she starts yelling "ICE".
Tomorrow the plan is to once again, relax before a 5 day week. This will be my first full week of work - unless it snows again...you never know.
I've added a "playlist" to the page, I hope you enjoy listening to a few of my favorite songs!

Happy New Year

Happy New Years to Everyone
As always we brought in the New Year at Grandma and Poppies. Grandma Linda, Poppie, Mom, Dad, Jessi, Charlie, Hunter, Jake, Chad, Amber, Tay, Josh, Tinslea and I all enjoyed a night of Food, cards and lots of laughter. All the kids made it longer than I thought they would, Tinslea was the first to go at about 10:00 then the boys and Tay weren’t far behind.
As the night went on Josh got into his “prankster” mode, and taped the water squirter thing on the kitchen faucet. Amber was the first victim, she turned the water on to make Tay a bottle and got squirted. Next was Jessi and lastly was Grandma – she was the best. When she went to turn the water on she cranked it on high – so she really got it good. After Josh pulled all his pranks I saw the perfect opportunity to be a little mean myself. SOOO as Josh began to sit back down to play cards I gently pushed the chair away…and he….slowly….fell to the floor. We all began laughing hysterically!!! Jessi was in the living room and heard the commotion and ran to see what had happened – this next part some may find inappropriate but it was funny so I’m going to tell ya what happened (sorry Jessi) – when Jessi saw Josh laying in the floor she began to laugh so hard she started farting, which made the rest of us laugh even harder!!!
My faith and family are the two most important things in my life. This past year of 2008 we experienced happiness but yet were faced with a few changes and painful situations. In March Uncle Joe and Chelsea moved back to KY to join the rest of the family. It’s been such a blessing to having them here. In August Ma Ag passed away and this was a huge loss for our family. Ma was a very important part of our lives and we loved her dearly. There aren’t many days that go by that I don’t think of her. She definitely left her mark and here with us. The beginning of December Tinslea and I both made big changes in our everyday lives, but things have worked out for the best so it must have been in God’s will.
I pray that God will continue to bless our family for 2009. We will continue to pray for Mamaw Jane as she is about to begin her Dr’s visits, and Grandma Linda on her quest to eventually find the root of her sickness. I also pray that Tinslea continues to develop physically, mentally and spiritually without having to overcome any obstacles. Lastly I pray that our family will continue to grow closer and stronger. May each of you have a wonderful 2009! Thank you for continuing to read our blog – we love the comments!
