Back to the Real World

Well...we're back and trying to get back into our routine. It's hard, after being away for a week, coming home and doing the everyday chores. Yesterday Josh went to Grayson County at 8am to pick up his friend's dog, we're keeping him until Wednesday. Jodi brought Griffey home as she was on her way to Jared's house. I think he had a good time at Aunt Jana's house!! Jodi said he didn't want to get in the car to leave, and that's a big deal because he loves to ride in the car!! Thanks Aunt Jana (and Uncle Mike) for taking good care of him. The rest of the day we just sat around and played and unpacked. At 4:30 then we went to Grandma's, Mom had made some homeade icecream and we grilled hotdogs. We were there until about 8pm. Tinslea was NASTY, she had dirt All over her little self. When we got home Josh gave her a bath and put her in bed...she must have been exhausted because we didn't hear a sound from her.
Jodi stayed with us lastnight since she was in GC all day with Jared yesterday. She and Tinslea have already left for school and work this morning.
Sorry I didn't write much while we were on Vacation...I was enjoying myself :) As always when you leave town with a big family excitement is bound to happen. Mom wrote about Grandma's episode then we had Chelsea passing out while we were waiting to get into Margaritaville, then Poppie getting a "bathroom" pain while at the beach (and not being able to compeletly make it to the bathroom LOL), and as always the little funnies that happen along the way.
Please continue to keep Dakota's family and friends in your prayers.

A Message from Panama City

Good Morning! And it certainly looks like it is going to be a "good" one for the sun is shining this morning. We woke up to rain the last two mornings. Although, both days turned out to be nice ones. Sunday we all went to the ocean. Tinslea enjoyed the water, but didn't seem to like that sand on her. Josh, Jonnica and Tinslea went back to the Townhouse early. Shame they did because they missed Grandma Linda in the water. Most of us were in the water enoying the waves. Grandma and Amber were sitting at the edge of the water. Linda decides she is going to rinse the sand off and the rough water took her down...I mean straight down. First she went to her knees then flat on her back. I saw it all happen, but couldn't get to her. I have to admit I was laughing along with Jessi. Amber jumped up from the edge of the water and got to her (Linda is lying on her back with the water beating over her)all Amber could do was hold her head up out of the water. John finally got to her from where he was in the water and Ronnie (if you know him well you know how slow he moves)finally came off of the beach and the two helped her up on her knees and finally to her feet. It was at this time that all the people around us finally noticed something was wrong. Yes, Grandma is fine and I wonder now if we will get her back in the ocean. She says that the next time she is just going to leave the sand on her.

Yesterday started off dreary, after having some pretty good thunderstorms and lightening Sunday night. At 10:00 a.m. the sun still wasn't out and we all decided to take a 3 hour boat ride on Captain Anderson's. They advertised the viewing of dolphins and gators. Leaving the dock was fun for the kids, the seagulls swarmed around the boat and we fed them from our hands (or the others did, I just watched). About 30 minutes into the boat ride the dolphins did appear. The kids were excited. We watched as some of the fishermen in boats around us fed them. At 1 hr into the ride we docked on Shell Island and everyone got off for an hour of swimming. The beach here is was beautiful with clear water and NO seaweed. The waters at Panama City this week are full of it. Oh, did I tell you we saw a gator! Yup, when we docked at Shell Beach there was one and it stayed there by our boat until we left. After returning to the Townhouse we all ate and sat around the pool for a while then Josh, Jonnica, Tinslea, John,Jodi, Chelsea and I headed to the beach around 6:00 p.m. The water was full of big waves and Tinslea had a blast on the beach. Josh gave Tinslea her first surfing lesson (or so a little girl on the beach thought that is what he was doing...pretty funny). He had her sitting on a boogie board and was pulling her around on the sand and the little stinker started standing up on her own. She did a pretty good job balancing for a 13 month old. Do I see surfing in her future? LOL

It is 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning right now and Tinslea has been up about 20 minutes. I set my alarm for 6:00 a.m. to be up when she got up and take her on her morning walk. I missed out yesterday when I slept in a bit. Off to stroll my baby before her breakfast time.

We're Here

We're here!!! Yesterday, we got a little later start than we had expected, we ended up leaving Morgantown at 5:50 pm. We got to the townhouse about 2:30 this morning, and guess what...Tinslea was up at 5:30!! Yep 5:30!! Dad took her for a stroll this morning while Josh and I unpacked. He let her play in the sprinklers, when she came in she was wet but seemed to enjoy herself. She just ate some breakfast and we are waiting for everyone else to wake up. Chad, Amber, Jodi, Chelsea, Charlie, Jessi, Hunter and Jake are all still in bed. I'm not sure how...we are being pretty LOUD :0
The townhouse is really nice!! There is one bedroom downstairs with a bathroom one the middle floor there is a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It's really room and only 1 block from the beach! Our pool is a little dirty, but the guy is supposed to come and clean it today. It storming right now so hopefully it'll stop soon so we can go out and PLAY!!

Panama City Here We Come

Cleaning, laundry, washing dishes, and packing...BLAH!! That what I've been doing this morning. I hate going on vacation and coming home to a dirty house! I think I've gotten thing pretty well finished, FINALLY. Josh, Tinslea and myself aren't leaving until tonight because Josh is in his cousin Ben's wedding today at 3:00pm. Mom, Dad, Jodi, Chelsea, Grandma Linda, Poppie, Jessi, Charlie, Hunter, Jake, Chad and Amber all left this morning at 3:30. I spoke with Mom at 7:00 and she said they were in Alabama. Charlie wanted to stop and eat breakfast at Shoney's, so they had been there for a while. Poor Grandma, she can't eat anything without getting sick. Mom said they were stopped and she had gotten sick 3 times. I just really wish they could find out what is wrong with her. This has been going on since last Ocotber (I believe that's when it started).
Aunt Jana is going to be keeping Griffey while we're gone. Bless her Heart!! I don't know what we would do without her!! Griffey can be a handful, he requires so much attention, he's worse than a kid.
Dad said that he thought it would take them about 12 hours to get there since they are having to stop with Grandma and Amber. We will probably leave about 4:30 so hopefully we will be there by midnight!! That's the goal at least.
Check back in later in the week, I'll let you know if were all still surviving.

First trip to VBS

Tinslea went to her first VBS tonight at Monticello. She did as well as to be expected. She stayed in the room during the story and activity time, then we went down to the basement for supper. She had a hotdog, bun and some banana. Some of the ladies were laughing at her eating...she never misses her mouth!! After supper she went outside to play. She had the most fun with Lydia Wells. The two of them played ball and then were chasing the dog and cat around the church yard. Lastly they went back inside for music. Tinslea normally likes music and dancing but by this time she was wore out. Lydia and Kelci were trying to pick her up and hold her but she wanted no part of that. She would yell then they would put her down and she would run to the back of the church.
I just got off the phone with Mom, she's staying with them tonight and JoJo is taking her to school tomorrow. Mom had just given her a bath and I could hear Tinslea in the background laughing at her Pa John.
Grandma Linda went back to the Doctor yesterday hoping to finally get some results from all the tests they've been running. BUT still we know nothing. They told her that everything so far looks fine and that they would run a scope the first part of July and then if that showed nothing there was one more thing they would do. He also told her that STRESS could do a lot to your body. Grandma's been through so much I wouldn't doubt myself if that's what it was.

Jewel - New Video "Stronger Woman"

Weekend Recap

We're past the 1/2 way mark in the week...Can you believe it?? I hope everyone had a Great Father's Day Weekend, we certainly did. Josh has been wanting me to take Tinslea to the races... so I thought there was no better weekend than this one:) She did pretty good (considering her bedtime is 7:00). She sat and played in the dirt and was up and down in the chairs!! At about 9:00 she got her 2nd wind!! She was running and laughing having herself a BIG time. I was really worried she would have a hard time going to sleep, but she didn't! I took all her clothes off in the car before we left the track and when we got home I took her straight to bed DIRTY and ALL!!

Sunday we went to a cook-out at Josh's Papaw Howards then to a cook-out at Mom and Dad's. While at Mom and Dad's Josh got his present from Mom...a Corn Hole game!! She checked into buying one but they were pretty expensive, so she had Uncle Joey make one. He painted it with a #3 and #88 ...It looks AWESOME!! Uncle Joey and Josh are pretty good (or at least compared to the rest of the family). I think they may enter the Catfish Festival Tournament : 0

We spent Monday relaxing!! Josh and Tinslea went over the Betty's pool and swam for about 30 minutes. Then he brought Tinsela in for a nap. She must have been wore out because she slept for 2 hours!! We paid for that long nap later...at 9:00 pm we were watching Nashville Star and we was wide awake and dancing :) Although it was past her bedtime, we let her stay up because she was being sooo cute!!

It's finally the WeEkEnD!! Tinslea and I just got home about an hour ago, and she's already in bed. She was so exhausted. The two of us met D.D. and Deana Jo at the mall to look for Bridesmaids Dresses. It was actually pretty simple, I only tried on 2 dresses (that doesn't happen with very often). Deana tried on a dress in JCPenny's then we went to Macy's and found a couple different ones. We decided on a very cute, above the knee black dress, I LoVe it :) I'm so excited about D.D.'s wedding, her and Jeremy are a perfect match. I'll admit, at first I was a little unsure, but it didn't take long to see they truly bring out the best in one another. They are leaving tomorrow night for Cancun - I know they will have a blast. Josh and I went one summer and we would soooo love to go back!!
By the time we picked out the dress, Tinslea was starving...So she and I went and ate then met back up the D.D and Deana. Jill and Chelle (Deana's mom and sister) had Blake at Chuckie Cheese. We walked down there to see Blake for a bit. It's been a while since we had seen him last. He still the same little Blake, full of energy and always happy :) He and Tinslea rode the horses and the little car together. They are so cute. I hope their good friends we they get older!
While at the mall we saw Alicia McKinney and her mom Lori. Alicia was doing some last minute shopping for her trip. She and Eric are leaving for Florida tomorrow. Hope they have a wonderful and safe trip!!

I Finally Have a Blog

Ok, so I finally have a blog!! I don't know how long this will last but maybe I can keep it going. I have a little extra time tonight, Tinslea is with her MeMe and Pa John (my mom and dad). I just talked to mom and Tinslea ate super with Mamaw Jane and Papaw Andy. She had hamburger and cooked apples...I'm not sure what else Mom said she had. They were about to leave Dad was taking her for a ride on the 4wheeler. She absolutely Loves riding that thing! When she sees one parked she starts "running her motor (BBBHHHHH)" . Dad has my OLD 4wheeler that doesn't work and he'll push her around the yard on it - I know he has spoiled her. Britney got her a battery powered 4wheeler for her Birthday and YES she knows how to ride it. She gets on it and we tell her to push the button, and she does - then off she goes.
Jodi is taking Tinslea to school tomorrow sinceI don't have to work , I only work 3 days a week during the summer so I get to have a 4 day weekend every weekend!! It's pretty nice, I wish I could do that year round. Josh has a ball camp/tournament in Bowling Green tonight and tomorrow. I'm planning on gettng a few thing accomplished around the house then going to BG to get Tinslea from DayCare and we are going to attempt to watch Josh's game. She and I went to his practice on Monday and she was everywhere. Once she saw "Daddy" that was it... she ran out on the court. He Loved every minute of it too.
Wish Me Luck With The New Blog Adventure!!
