Off to a Rocky Start

After a rocky start, today ended pretty good. Tinslea woke up in an ill mood, and when I say that I mean it - she normally is a very easy going child but today I don't know what got into her. Personally I think she's been home too long. She has been with Josh and I for 5 straight days and I really think she's ready to go back to school and be around her little friends.
While Tinslea was napping Jessi brought over some (a whole garbage bag) toys they boys had outgrown. When Tinslea woke up she was so excited, Josh suggested we wrap them and give them to her for Christmas! - The joke is Tinslea's gift from Santa lastyear was a ride on car of Seth's (my friend Heather's son). Tinslea's favorite of all the toys was Thomas the train, she LOVES trains!!
Josh had ball practice today so Tinslea and I rode with him and played in the gym a while and then went to walmart. Once Josh was finished we headed home, I cooked supper and she and Josh washed dishes and she was BETTER!! Like I said I don't know what got into her but she was not TINSLEA.

When Tinslea was with Mom and Dad yesterday at Walmart, she saw Santa. The Pic is TOOOO Funny. She looks like she is having an absolute fit but Mom said it wasn't really that bad. Our scanner isn't working for me to scan the pic, so I may see if Josh can do it from work so everyone can see just how funny it is (AND if you read yesterday's post she was in her PJ's)

Below are some pics of her lastnight - she found her bubbles and HAD to blow them...until they were gone.
In the first pic she decided to put the stick in her mouth after dipping it in the bubbles - if you've ever tasted those things they are NASTY!

Our Thanksgiving

I just wanted to share a few pics from our Thanksgiving. I actually forgot I had my camera with me so I only have pics from Grandmas house. Thursday we went to Josh's Papaw Howards house and visited with him for a couple hours then went to Mom and Dad's. They hosted Thanksgiving for Mom's side of the family. And let me tell you mom and dad have a small house and I didn't know if we would all fit. It was...Mamaw, Papaw, Mom, Dad, Josh, Tinslea, Myself, Jodi, Aunt Jana, Uncle Mike, Michael, Matthew, Nikki, Martin, Mark, Ann, Uncle Joe, Aunt Michelle, Chelsea, Kent, Zac, and the two dogs, Griffey and Ozzie. And somehow in the midst of the madness Tinslea managed to take an hour and 1/2 nap!!!
Josh and I stayed alnite at mom and dad's - Dad had to work and the house is a complete mess - they are having hardwood put in two of the bedrooms and in the hallway. Josh and I slept in mom and dads bed while mom slept on the couch and Jodi and Jared slept in the living room floor. Friday morning the whole family had breakfast at Grandmas house. We spent most of the day at Grandmas house, Tinslea love to play with Hunter...I do believe those two will be getting into lots of trouble together!!
This morning we got up bright and early and went to Lauries to have Tinslea's Christmas pics made. Josh didn't go, he's been working on homework the past few days. His classes are really starting to catch up with him. Mom and Dad met us there and when we were finished they took Tinslea with them to walmart. Of all times I didn't have a change of clothes for her....they took her in her red and white pj's, black shoes and a pink coat LOL. Dad wanted to go to the mall with her but I drew the limit, there was no way I was going to let them take her to the mall in her pjs.
Check back in the next few days I'll post some of her pics when Laurie gets them ready ~ I can't wait to see them!!!

Shaving Cream

Tonight we (Josh, Jodi, Tinslea and I) were all sitting around in Tinslea's room playing when Josh stated putting Tinslea up to some not so nice things. I then suggested that Josh should get the shaving cream out and let Tinslea play with it in the bathtub (without water). The next thing I knew he had her cookie sheet she plays with and the shaving cream in the living room floor. Most people would flip out and never allow their children to do this but as you can see, we are up for whatever and she enjoyed herself...as did we, she gavve us all a good laugh.

Check out the shaving cream under her arms, Josh ask her where Mommy put the shaving cream.

And on the legs,
Now this I don't know.

OK so this was too funny she was trying to stand up. Needless to say it was impossible,

So she finally crawled all the way to the bathroom. This is the aftermath!! And you may ask where were the two of you, why didn't you help the poor child? The answer is simple, I decided to spray Josh with the shaving cream and his story is I directly sprayed it in his ear canal...my story is that I just sprayed it HAHAHA. And as for Jodi well she didn't help her because she was about to go to see Jared and she simply didn't want to get dirty HAHAHA.

We all survived the shaving cream, Josh has now regained his hearing and Jodi left unharmed.
Yesterday Josh's brother Dusty and his wife Amy had their second daughter. We are still unsure on the name, lastnight Amy named her Audrey Elisabeth but we heard today she may have changed her mind. The last we heard she was in the NICU, and Josh's Mom said she was having a minor surgery on her lungs.
Please keep them in your Prayers.
I hope everyone has a Wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoys their time with their family.

Tinslea awaiting the Christmas Tree.... She was such a BIG help...

Notice she once again has on her armbands.

HAHA this is Josh trying to climb through her tunnel Aunt Heather bought Tinslea for her Birthday.
So today started our Christmas season, we put up our tree and started wrapping gifts. For lunch we went to Josh's Granny's house. She decided to have her Thanksgiving early this year because everyone seems to be so busy. Tinslea was quite shy for the first 30-45 minutes, then she began to come out of her shell. I do believe she has our (Josh and I) personalities, just not real friendly HAHAHA.
So if anyone heard I'm sure you have some questions as to what was going on with Grandma Linda Saturday. Well, your guess is as good as ours and the Dr.s. Like she has been the past year, she was sick Saturday throwing up. The only thing is - and you may not want to read this if you have a weak stomach - when she was sick Saturday she was throwing up what looked to be "Flesh". She told me she was sick throwing up but didn't go into detail, but she did Jessi. So Jessi called me and I called Dad. Dad then went down to check on her. Later Grandma blamed Jessi of having the BIG mouth and calling Dad - but it was me !! So anyways she ended up going to the ER and took the bag of what she had been throwing up. They tested it and finally said it "Appeared to be flesh but it wasn't hers" ~ to make a joke we are all wondering "who" grandma's been eating! None of this makes any sense, she she hadn't eaten anything all day and the only thing she'd ate the day before was oysters and it was clearly not oysters. The only explination was that maybe it was something that had set in her stomach. The Dr. gave her some pills to take during the Holidays to hopefully help with the sickness and sent her on her way....with still no answer!!...!!!

Does it Get any Cuter

Today when it was time for nap we decided to see if Tinslea would lay on her mat like she does at school. So Josh brought the mat into the tv room and told her to lay down it was time to nap. Low and Behold she got on her mat and rolled around for a bit then was fast asleep. I take no credit for this...This is all due to Ms. Erin and Ms. Linda ~ They are the BeSt~

Thankful

Lastnight my cousin Chelsea was on her way in from Cheer practice in BG when she hit a deer. Luckly the car was the only thing damaged! I can only imagine how scared she must have been. That has always been a huge fear of mine, I mean really there's no way to see them in the dark. We Love you Chels and are thankful you were unharmed!
Today Aunt Michelle fainted/passed out while at work. I don't really have any details, I've not called because I know she needs her rest and is probably getting TONS of calls. Mom did inform me she went to the ER and they ran tests and said she had fluid in her ear and for her to not return to work until Thursday. That's all the info I have at this time so please pray for her health. Love you too Aunt Chelle~

New Babysitter in Town

She was attacking me...

Tinslea and her armbands...

Friday night Jodi and Jared watched Tinslea while Josh and I went to the Grayson County football game to watch Hunter play. Jodi had to leave to go to a wedding rehearsal so Jared kept Tinslea all by himself!! Impressive HUH? Tinslea and Jared have really began to bond lately –now that she sees him more!
Yesterday Josh’s ball team was in a t-ment in Owensboro all day. Dad, Mom, Tinslea and I went to a couple of his games and went shopping. Well, actually Mom and I shopped while Dad entertained Tinslea. When we got back to mom and Dads Tinslea ate supper, put on her pjs and…found a pair of Dad’s old armbands. She Loves Them! When I got her home and put her in bed she didn’t want to take them off. When she got up this morning (apparently she took them off at some point in the night) she started pointing at her arm. She has had them on pretty much all day!! She took them off before she went down for her nap earlier but when she woke up, same thing. She started pointing at her arm again!

Tinslea was avoiding the camera, normally she loves to Cheese but tonight she was running away. She has really started LoViNg the boots that Jo Jo and Jared bought her (although they are too big)! She will randomly get them and bring them to us and say "Boot".
Notice her pants and shirt are SOAKED! Tonight while I cooked supper, Josh and Tinslea washed the dishes.

Way To Go Chelsea

Well, we had a vistor tonight... YEP this is what they look like in Grayson County!! No REALLY this is REALLY what he wore!! How about that Pink Panter Hat? ~Comments Please~

Saturday night we went to Calendar Girl. Chelsea looked BEAUTIFUL (she always does)!! We were so proud of her. Not that we had any doubt she was get in but Jodi and I were nervous, we both were broke out in a rash!
Tinslea was supposed to stay with Tay Mae but..I had the stomach virus Wednesday night so Dad came and got Tinslea Thursday morning and kept her all day and night. AND...he caught the bug as did Poppie, Jake and Hunter. So we were a little scared to have anyone around Tay Mae, and Josh had games in BG SOOO TI tagged along. BUT, she was very well behaved!

Back to Blogging

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!! Tinslea enjoyed herself – without candy!! As most of you know Josh and I don’t give Tinslea candy, juice, cokes or well pretty much anything that’s not healthy. We catch a lot of heat about it, but I contribute her good eating habits and lack of sickness to it.
So anyways Tinslea’s 2nd Halloween was as follows:
Our first stop was to Josh’s Papaw Keowns (he’s back in the hospital) and Marie’s. Lloyd and Melissa came by as did Terry and Stephanie. Marie and Melissa but gave Tinslea a bag of candy – which Josh enjoyed. Our next stop was Mamaw Paulines. Uncle Gary and Aunt Doris were there so we visited with them for a while. They all gave Tinslea some Quarters (which she loves)!! Mamaw was very excited to see Tinslea, Tinslea as usual was showing off and Mamaw just laughed at her - it seemed to make her day. At Aunt Joyces she got more quarters! Tinslea is usually a little shy but when Aunt Joyce said “come on Tinslea we’ll get some money” Tinslea followed her right in the house HAHA. My baby’s no dummy!! Next we went to Mamaw and Papaws house where she got a writing pad, banana, and apple. While we were there Aunt Jana pulled up – I think she was getting anxious – she gave Tinslea a WHOLE basket of bananas, apples, applesauce, oranges and raisins!! I do believe this was Tinslea FAVORITE!! Mom and Dad’s house was next, we had to wait for Dad to get in from work before she could have her gift from them. They acted like it was Christmas, Dad was taking pics of her and mom was video taping while she opened it – she got a baby doll, diaper bag and stroller!! AND she has already messed up the wheel on the stroller, she wanted to sit in it. Finally, our last stop of the night (and supper) Grandma and Poppies! They gave Tinslea some diapers (my favorite gift HAHA). Grandma had all kinds of food and the WHOLE family was there – Grandma, Poppie, Uncle Allen, Kathy, Jessi, Charlie, Hunter, Jake, Chad, Amber, Tae Mae, Dad, Mom, Josh, Tinslea, and myself – OHHH wait I forgot Jodi, yep she missed another family event she was with Jared at a Halloween Party. She’ll have to find some way to make that up to Tinslea. We didn’t have time to visit Aunt Michelle and Uncle Joe, but they have a Halloween book for her, and from what I hear Zac can read the whole book!
Below are some pics of Tinslea in her costume. These pics aren’t very good, I couldn’t get her to be still long enough to take a pic so I’m hoping Mom took some good ones for me to post later. You may ask well what was she…..she was just CUTE LOL! I couldn’t really find anything I liked so I had Mamaw Jane make her this dress. Isn’t it adorable!!! Mamaw can make ANYTHING!!! I think she wishes Mom and I would learn how to sew…I think her only hope will be to teach Tinslea! Thank you Mamaw for all the time you put into the dress, we will great appreciate it and will cherish it forever, We Love You!!
