I’m still here, I’ve not forgotten about the Blog! The last few weeks have been a little CRAZY. The first day of Head Start was Wednesday so lastweek and Monday and Tuesday were Busy, Busy for me.
As most of you have heard, I lost my Great Grandmother (Ma Ag) on Tuesday afternoon. This has been a tremendous loss for our family! Death is something no one likes to experience or face. Luckly our family hasn’t seen much of this so this took us all by surprise.
Tuesday morning Mom called while I was dropping Tinslea off at DayCare and said that Grandma and Jessi were calling the ambulance to come and get her, she was unresponsive. Mom later called back around noon and said it wasn’t looking good, they thought she was experiencing liver failure. I considered leaving work but then thought “I have so much to do, tomorrow is the first day, I’ll leave work at 5:00 and go see her”. I truly thought everything would be fine! Ma has been through so much, I saw her as a strong lady that could pull through anything – she always had, I had no reason not to think any differently.
Josh came to BG to pick Tinslea up from school then came by work so I could see her for a bit. Before he had gotten there Mom had called him and told him they had called the family in. When Josh told me the news I could get out of the building fast enough. As we drove to the hospital I couldn’t believe this had happened. Ma Passed Away before I was able to get there and see her. – My regret these past few days has been that I put work before my family and chose not to leave.
Ma Ag was always someone you could find peace in being around. I will always cherish the memories I have of her as I know many other will too. Thank you to everyone who came to the funeral home, called, brought food to Grandma Linda, sent cards and most of all thank you to those who sent those wonderful prayers up for our family. God has been with us and got us through these past few days and with the help of him we will continue to take one day at a time.
Please continue to keep Grandma in your prayers! She’s being “Grandma” and trying to stay strong for the rest us, but she is hurting… Please God give her the strength to continue on and be with her during this time of sorrow.
Yesterday after the funeral we all went back to Grandma’s house to have some family time – man there’s nothing better that that! We were all outside letting the kids play and Chad, Josh and Charlie decided to go fishing. Us girls ate, talked, changed some diapers and ate some more. A few hours later the guys got back with a funny story (anytime they go somewhere together something always happens)…. Josh didn’t have his fishing license so he just sat back and relaxed while Chad and Charlie fished. Well, Chad went to cast and HOOKED Charlie in the forehead!!HAHAHA Charlie said “Somebody get it out of my head”. Josh (of course) was like “I’m not doing it”, Chad said “I’m not doing it”. Charlie said “Somebody’s gonna get it out!” So Chad ended up getting the hook out Charlie’s head, it apparently was pretty deep in his head – He had a pretty good gash – HAHAHA. We all laughed so hard…and I’m STILL laughing !!
Today Josh, Tinslea and I spent the day together relaxing, shopping and just enjoying our time with one another. We went to E-Town then to Walmart, and to see Mark, Missy and Hunter, Talon was at a friends house so we didn’t get to see him. Now were home…Tinslea is running around here acting like her new bedtime is 10:00pm LOL

Pictures of Tinslea playing in the bubbles at MeMe and Pa John's house. Can you tell she was having fun?

Tinslea spent the day at Grandma and Poppie’s. I met Poppie this morning in town before I went to Cave City. Tinslea was excited to see him and ready to go! I called to check on her during my lunch break and Chad answered the phone. He said they had just had an interesting experience. Grandma was at the Dr. with Ma Ag so that left Tinslea, Hunter and Jake with Poppie. So Chad and Amber came over to help him. Well, Chad said that Amber had just left she had to run to the store when they noticed Tinslea had pooped!! Poppie looked at Chad as said “have you ever done this before?” Chad said “Well, a few times.” (Chad and Amber kept Tinslea 3 days a week when she was 3 months – 8 months). Chad then ask Poppie “Have you?”. Poppie said NO. So the TWO of them somehow managed to change the Poopie Diaper HAHA. Chad said they had to “tag team” her. Chad better get used to those diapers, Taylor will be here before you know it : ) Another funny story from today…Uncle Chad was playing peek-a-boo with a plate as he had her sitting up on the counter. There was a cup sitting beside her and he grabbed the cup and was going to put it on her head like a hat. What he didn’t know was that the cup had water in it…Amber said Tinslea just sat there staring at him like…What just happened?!
Tinslea is at Mom and Dad’s again tonight, tomorrow is my last day in Cave City YAY. I feel like I’ve not seen my baby at all these last few days.

One day of training down two more to go! I would so much rather be working than listening to people. OHH well, only a couple days left.
When I got home it was already 6:00pm! I would have been home sooner but…we kind of made a few wrong turns from Cave City to Brownsville HAHA. Joyce McKinney was driving and she told us not to tell she said “What happens in the Hummer, stays in the Hummer”. She’s so funny!! At one point I looked at Aunt Chelle and said I think we’re going the wrong way I don’t remember passing this stuff, she didn’t remember it either. Well, a few miles later we did realize we were going the wrong way!!
OK so Aunt Michelle just called…On the way home I couldn’t get comfortable and kept telling them my butt was hurting. Well, Joyce just called Aunt Chelle and said I had been sitting on an umbrella HAHA – That would explain it!!
Tinslea stayed with Mamaw Jane and Papaw Andy today. They kept her plenty busy. She played outside, and they put her in her swing for a while then I think they picked some apples. She’s doing very good with her naps. Mamaw put her in the big bed (since they don’t have a play pen for her) she rolled around for a while and talked then went to sleep. Deana drove to work today so she picked her up on her way in and brought her home for us - - saved us some gas money!!
Josh officially starts back to work tomorrow!! He’s excited and ready to get back in the routine.
So did anyone watch Army Wives lastnight…Next week is gonna be Awesome!! I can’t wait.

Tinslea has the worst luck...

Josh was just on the computer and said my site “aggravates him”, he said I need to update is everyday! What he doesn’t realize it’s a little more work than is seems like.
We had a VERY Busy end of the week and weekend! Honestly we had so much going on I don’t remember what happened Thursday except that Tinslea stayed with Mom and Dad. Friday, she spent the day with her Pa John and Jo Jo. Josh and I went to Rochester to pick her up when we got off work then we went to DD and Jeremy’s wedding rehearsal. After rehearsal DD and Jeremy had a cook-out at their house. We had a nice time with everyone Tinslea enjoyed herself, she got to play with Blake and Raigan.
Saturday started out WAY too early. We met mom in town at 8:00am then headed to Woodbury to set up for the wedding. To keep a long story short, we had lots to do and little time to do it in. The “set-up” crew consisted of Josh, Myself, DD, Jeremy, Deana, Heather Coleman, Bridgette, and Jill (Deana’s mom). At 1:00 we went to get our hair and make-up done then got dressed and began pictures. The wedding started on time at 6:00pm! That doesn’t happen very often : ) The wedding was beautiful as was DD…Congrats to DD and Jeremy!
Tinslea had a GREAT time at the reception! She was running around laughing, “talking”, and being a little cutie. As Dad and Josh began packing the chairs up from the ceremony Tinslea saw her Pa and started yelling “PAAA”. Deana and Chelle were walking up the hill with her and she all the sudden fell. Deana picked her up and she was crying. I was behind them and was like “OHH Tinslea your ok you can walk”. Deana said, “NO I think she’s really hurt”. From that point on everytime we tried to stand her up to walk she would fall down. We thought maybe she had twisted her ankle. The weird thing was she would let us turn it, touch in, everything and she wouldn’t cry, she just wouldn’t walk. We even put ice on it! I called the Dr. at 8:00, Dr. Frasier called me back about 9:00pm and said give her Tylenol for the pain and wait until morning.
I woke up this morning at 6:45 because Urgent Care opens at 8:00 and I wanted to get there as soon as they opened if she wasn’t better. So I woke Tinslea up, Josh changed her and we stood her up in the floor. She just stood there and screamed. At that point we all got dressed and headed to BG. We were seen by Dr. Grace at Urgent Care, they took lots of X-Rays (which by the way is very hard for a baby to lay in an exact position). The verdict was… she has twisted her knee and there was some fluid build-up. I believe she is now feeling a little better, this afternoon she was began walking and even ran to the door when Deana came over. By the time Mom and Dad came by she was a whole new kid! They bought her a cute UK coat for this winter, she hates it right now though! Josh put it on her and she SCREAMED and pulled at the sleeves. When he took it off she was fine. I think she’s going to have a hard time come fall and winter when she has to wear more clothes HAHA. They also got her a lawn mover…she loved it! She was laughing and ready to get her hands on it before Dad was even able to get it out of the package.
Mom and Dad have her now, she is staying with them tonight and Mamaw and Papaw tomorrow. I have trainings in Cave City Monday-Wednesday and her daycare is closed for pre-service this week.
I’ll keep everyone posted to let you know how she’s doing throughout the week. OHH and she’s doing better from her sickness lastweek she just has a little cough now, maybe she’ll have an easier time than Lola did. Little Blake’s sick now, he has the same thing! Deana said he was still running a fever today : (
