A Quick View of Our Christmas

You can thank my lack of blogging to our modem crashing!! We finally received our new modem today ...What would we do without DSL!! I don't know how I ever functioned it without it!

So in a nutshell Tinslea had a wonderful Christmas!! She got MUCH more than she needed! The sad thing is she only got 4 gifts at our house...so it was the rest of the family that "over did it".

I didn't end up with many pics b/c Tinslea was all over the place and it was hard to take the pics and help her open. Not to mention I forgot my camera at home on Christmas Eve!

Tinslea a Zac - watching the VideoNow - Zac got Tinslea a little computer for Christmas, but Tinslea ended up liking his VideoNow so much that he also gave her that as well as all the movies that go with it. everytime we visit them we come home with Zac's toys HAHA!
Tinslea and Poppie playing "Ashes" AKA "Ring Around the Rosie"
Tinslea and Pa John watching the Monster Trucks on Christmas

Check out this stocking....and it was completely full...Did I mention I forgot to get her a stocking!?!

Tinslea having a party with her babies on Christmas morning.
Uncle Chad, Amber and Tay got her a Tea Set ~ the funny thing is she doesn't want me to play with her she only wants Daddy to play. She'll sit in her room and YELL "DA DA, DA DA"!
Sorry I didn't post many pics or write much but there is no way I could go through every single place we went and what we did and what she got....
WE HAD A AMAZING CHRISTMAS, GOD BLESSED OUR FAMILY AND WE HOPE HE WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO THROUGHOUT THE NEXT YEAR!

Stylist in the Making?

Friday night Tinslea stayed with her MeMe and Pa John while Josh and Iwent to BG to watch Talon Gary, Jacob and Jordan Hall play ball. We also tried to finish our shopping...but that didn't happen. Our plan is to go today after church. Tinslea had FuN yesterday playing with MeMe and Jo Jo. Josh and I didn't go down to get her until about 5:30. When we got there Amber and Tay Mae were there also. Lastnight was really the first time I've gotten to hold her and play with her without Tinslea "bothering" us. I will have to say though, Tay liked Josh better than me :(

How many parents let their kids (19 months old) dress themselves??? This morning Josh decided to go to his mom and dads to take the trash off, so he took Tinslea with him. Tinslea was already playing in her tutu and wanted to keep it on so we met in the middle with the tutu and just put on some pants and a shirt. And check out the sandals - she also picked those out of all the shoes in the closet to wear, so we just put some socks on!
The first pic is right before they left, she was mad because we couldn't find her hat!
The second pic is of her playing before Josh decided to take her with him.

Let the Break Begin

What a rough day...I didn't go into work until 9:00am and was laving the parking lot at 11:30!! Today was our Christmas Party, we all ATE and exchanged gifts. I'll admit my Veggie Pizza was a HIT!! Thanks Heather C. - I finally made it with the correct ingredents!! OK so for those of you who don't know the story here goes...
The recipe for Veggie Pizza:
Crescent Rolls
Mix together the following and spread on crescent rolls once they have cooled
1 container of sour cream
1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch mix
1 cup Miracle Whip
Top with veggies of your choice (and Cheese)

My recipe:
Crescent rolls
Mayo
Veggies
Yes, that’s right that’s how I made the veggie pizza, and really thought I had made it right. I was even eating it thinking it was pretty good…UNTIL Mom came over and tried it and said it didn’t taste just right LOL! AND for anyone who really know me, this probably isn't a surprise!!HAHA

Yesterday was the first day in quite a while Tinslea hasn't gotten sick at school. The teachers finally figured out what was making her sick...she was eating TOO much. I told them from day 1 they would have to stop her or she would keep eating, and eating and eating!! OH well at least they saw first had what happens! Ms. Tammy and Ms. Beth are very sweet and Tinslea really does enjoy going to school.

If you've not gotten a Christmas Card from us yet, it's either in the mail or waiting for a stamp! SOO, you may get them by New Years!
Speaking of Cards, thanks to everyone whos sent us one - I love the cards and the pics to see how much everyone has changed since last year's pic.
Tinslea receive a letter from Santa in the mail today, it was too cute - Jessi sorry but I recognized your hand writing on the envelope!

Snow Day

SNOW DAY TODAY AND ANOTHER TOMORROW :)
We had to become creative with our time at home...
Tinslea and I were doing laundry and I put Griffey in the basket. Then she decided SHE wanted in the basket. Too bad we didn't have Ma Ag around, she used to pull Hunter around the house in the laundry basket, both of them LOVED every minute of it.

Cool Momma!! Sporting her Reds hat and pink purse in her PJ's.

Our cute story of the day...
We were listening to Tinslea's CD and playing in her bedroom when the "Bingo" song came on. Griffey went crazy and started barking when he heard the dogs on the CD barking. Normally when Griffey acts like this there is someone at the door. SOOO Tinslea turned to me and said "PA" and began giggling. I told her "No it's not Pa he's at home". Then a few seconds later Griff heard the dogs on the CD and did it again, Tinslea once again turned to me and said "Pa" abd giggled! Poor baby she thought her Pa was here to see her.
Ok so one more story...
At about 8:30 lastnight I got a call from Zac (our cousin). Aunt Chelle had given him $10 to "shop" with at school. She was thinking he would buy her and Chelsea something for Christmas. NO, she was wrong. First off he bought himself something and then bought Tinslea 2 gifts!! Isn't that too cute. Not too many little boys would think about their little cousin. Zac is such a considerate little boy, he really tries to take care of Tinslea. This is just one more reason I'm glad they moved back!!

Marker Art Work

Below is a pic of Tinslea's finished product after using markers while unsupervised. This pic doesn't do justice, her left arm was covered. I of course laughed and Josh was like"WHAT are you doing?"

Ice...I really just wanted to get through this week!!
Today Josh took Tinslea to school, and she was fine, she went straight to Ms. Tammy.
I got to work at 7:00 and packed my bags for my home visits. My first one was at 8:00 and my second was at 10:00. Once I had finished my second and was on my way back to the office I FINALLY got phone service! I had 4 voicemails, two from my boss one form my coworker and one from Josh. All four were letting me know school was letting out early. Since Breck is so far away and they usually get hit first and harder they wanted me to get back to Leitchfield ASAP. My first stop was to get Tinslea! It was no surpirse she didn't have on the outfit I had laid out for her lastnight...She had gotten sick after breakfast again and they had to change her clothes. This seems to be an everyday thing at this point. I'm wondering if it doesn't have something to do with milk. I didn't give her any all weekend and she didn't vomit. They did let her have some this morning and she got sick again. And it was the same situation when she was sick Tuesday and Friday it happened after she drank milk.
The three of us have spent the rest of the afternoon at home. Dad came by to visit with us for a while. Tinslea was happy to see her Pa!

She has to get better soon...Right?

OHH what a weekend. Tinslea still isn't feeling well. At this point I don't know what it is. She's just fussy, which isn't like her to be this way constantly. Is she sick or has she hit the "2's" early??
Josh seems to think since she only went to school 2 days lastweek that the problem is that she's been out of her routine for too long.
Yesterday Josh made the mistake of mentioning Dad to her...and when he did she started saying "Pa" ran down the hall then noticed we weren't leaving and put her face against the wall and cried! Since Josh was gone today, I even took her to see her Pa John. She was pretty good while we were there. BUT, when we left she screamed and cried and threw the biggest fit ever!!

This pic was from tonight she had just gotten out of the tub and was helping Josh.
Lastnight while I was wrapping presents she decided she needed to sign them too. It started out as just Hunter's gift then they all ended being signed!
Mom, Jodi and Jared are visiting our family up North this week. Yesterday they all went into NYC! Country Boy Jared wasn't too happy about going in the first place and to make things worse he had only been there a couple hours when a piegon pooed on him. Jodi said he started screaming "I hate this place!" They spent today with the whole family and are going back to the city tomorrow and Tuesday.

Tinslea's Still Sick

Just a quick blog...She's still sick!! Just when we think she's better she starts again. I took her to school today and she was fine, I called to check on her and she was still fine. But, when I walked in her classroom to pick her up, she vomited on her mat!! Ms. Tammy said she had acted fine all day...Who knows! Hopefully a few more days at home with bananas, cheerios, toast, crackers and water will do the trick.

They're Both Sick Now

Well, I thought today was going to be back to normal...WRONG! Josh woke up not feeling too hot but went ahead and got dressed. About 15 minutes before we needed to be pulling out of the driveway I went in Tinslea's room to quickly get her up and dressed. Much to my surprise she had vomited at some point during the night/morning! It was all over her bed and all dried in her hair. SOOO I immediately called Grandma to see if they could come get her and keep her for the day so Josh and I could go to work. While waiting for Poppie to arrive Josh gave Tinslea a bath and I packed her bag for the day. Once Poppie got here Josh and I were quickly off to work (I was late AGAIN).
About 9:30 Josh called my cell phone to let me know he too was sick and on his way home for the day! I called Grandma several times to check on Tinslea and Grandma said she was fine! Her and Jake played ALL DAY. She never threw up again and didn't run a fever. I can't figure out what is going on with her. If she were a little older I would swear she was doing this to get out of school.
I met Grandma and Poppie in town to pick her up and either she's not feeling well again or she's wore out. She was soooo tired I put her in the bed at about 6:00pm. I'm hoping she will wake up about 7-8 and play a little then go back down for the night. Otherwise she's going to be up at like 4-5am!

Our 3 Yr. Anniversary

Today is our 3 Yr. Anniversary so I thought I'd post a few pics.

~ The Wedding Party~

Tinslea seems to be feeling a bit better :) Josh stayed home with her today. When I got in she was in the best mood, and so loving!!! We're going to take her back to school tomorrow so hopefully she'll be 100% in the morning.
OHHH and for those of you who are wondering, NO we didn't do anything special today. We've not even had supper, I suppose we'll have some cereal or soup. Sad huh? We act like an OLD married couple HAHAHA.

Sick Little Girl

A pic of Tinslea coloring tonight, my poor sick baby

Today was one of those days when you realize you’re a true parent! Our new morning routine was going pretty good, I dropped Josh off and work and was on my way to take Tinslea to daycare. I had gotten her inside she gave me a kiss and Ms. Tammy looked at her and said “Good morning Tinslea! How are you?” As soon as she got the words out there it went … She Spewed (it looked like cottage cheese) and it went everywhere, on the floor, on her, on her coat, on my shirt, and on my keys. I quickly got her cleaned up and loaded her into the car. Today only being my 4th day of work, I couldn’t miss. So I took her to Josh and he called my Dad – so Dad drove all the way to Grayson County to get her from Josh. I honestly don’t know what we would do without my Dad. Almost everytime Tinslea has been sick Dad has been the one to take care of her so we don’t have to miss work.
As for myself, I had vomit on my shirt, so I called my boss to let her know what had happened then quickly stopped at Walmart to buy a new shirt and rushed to get to Breck to be at my first home visit at 8:30am!! With all of the drama I made it, and with time to spare. I walked through the office door at 7:45am.
When Josh and I got home Mom, Dad and Tinslea were already at our house waiting for us. As soon as I looked at her I could tell in her eyes she didn’t feel good. I took her temp and it was 102.1. I gave her some Tylenol and began washing sheets and using the Lysol!! The weird thing is she is acting FINE! She’s being the BeSt sick little GiRl a Mommy could ask for.

Sunday Night Already?

After a long weekend last week this one sure went by fast.
Friday – Tinslea and I both had good “second” days. We didn’t do anything Friday night just hung out at home.
Saturday – Josh dropped Tinslea and I off at Mom and Dads on his way to South for his Conference T-ment. Tinslea, Mom and I went over and visited Mamaw and Papaw for a while…I think Tinslea misses seeing them. When we were pulling into the driveway she started saying “Papaw”! When we left there Mom, Dad, Tinslea and I went to the mall. After a few hours we were on our way back to Rochester. Tinslea hadn’t had a nap all day, so she was getting a little agitated. We were certain she would go to sleep on the way in but NOOOOO! The UK game was on so Dad was listening to the game and Tinslea started saying “isty” and “choo choo” (these are two of her favorite songs). To my surprise Dad turned off the game and let her listen to her CD. Now, still to this day I HATE listening to game and talk radio but I would never ask Dad to change the station. I think this is because growing up we ask and he never would, so I was in shock when he did this.
Sunday – Tinslea stayed with her MeMe and Pa John lastnight, so we went to church with them today. Josh and I stayed home, he mainly worked on homework all morning then we went to Walmart. After Tinslea woke up from her nap we met Mom in town and came back home. As we were pulling in the driveway Lloyd and Melissa was right behind us. They stayed for a while and played with Tinslea. She had fun showing off for them.
Please keep my Mamaw Jane in your thoughts and Prayers. She went to the Dr. lastweek for some tests and has now been referred to a neurologist Dr. Zoo. ~We Love You Mamaw~

Our First Day

I don't really have much time to write tonight, we're kind of busy. Our power was off when we got in so that threw everything off. Anyways, Tinslea didn't cry this morning when I left her (tomorrow may be different, she may realize it's the NEW routine). I called at lunch and talked to her teacher, Ms. Tammy, and she said she was doing fine. When I picked Tinslea up she was in a good mood, which was reassuring, and Ms. Tammy said they did have to pat her back for her to go to sleep but other than that she was great!! And she couldn't believe how GOOD Tinslea ate. -I told her there is NOTHING Tinslea won't eat!!
As for me, well you know how the first few weeks are, slow with lots of reading and listening. So today was very relaxed!! I'm really looking forward to this job, I think I'm going to quickly fall in LOVE!! And ALL the ladies are super nice, and it's not a fake nice I've been at the center several times and they are very welcoming.
For those of you who don't know ...I'm now working for the Breck-Grayson Head Start as a Home Based Teacher (and I will also be doing family services). I will have 11 families and will go into the homes and work with the parents and the children - ages 0-3. Now doesn't that sound amazing?? I'm pumped, this age is right up my alley!!
After I got off work I picked Tinslea up and we went to the gym to pick up Josh, Aren't we just ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY!!

A Few Tears Shed

Today pretty much went as expected…
It was hard dropping Tinslea off at daycare, Ms. Linda was there to greet us. Tinslea started her daily routine, she washed her hands then went into her classroom. I left my camera with Ms. Linda to take some pics of Tinslea and her teachers and friends.
Work was just another day. A few of the girls put together a delicious potluck for me. I didn’t really do much today just kind of let the day pass by. I will have to say I won’t miss the drama that come with working with about 20 women, but I will miss some of the women I work with. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the best at keeping intouch but I certainly plan to with a couple of them.
So no tears were shed all day until I picked Tinslea up from school. When I went to her room to get her bag and they had all her pictures in a folder and the remainder of her diapers and wipes in her bag, I began to cry. I quickly “got it together” and went into the gym to get my baby girl…and LoSt it again!! I cried, and cried and cried. I think I told Ms. Amber “bye” like 5 times. Ms. Linda had already left for the day so that made it much easier, and Ms. Erin was out this week due to a death in her family.
~Thank You to all of Tinslea’s teachers. You have all touched our lives in more ways than one. Josh and truly appreciate the care, love, and supervision you’ve given our child. There was not one day I had to worry about her no being taken care of. (I’m crying again)! You are all wonderful people and I know in your profession that you are sometimes overlooked, but know that you have had a difference in our lives and will never be forgotten!!~
Below are some pics of Tinslea on her last day at WKUCCC.

Tinslea Painting, I'm sure her teahers won't miss that mess!!
Tinslea and Ms. Linda :)

Tinslea and Mr. Todd
After picking Tinslea up from school we headed to Grayson County to the funeral home. Jared’s Great-Grandmother passed away, so we went to check on our Jare! Please pray for his family.

Check back tomorrow and I’ll let you know how my First day at my new job goes and Tinslea First day at her new daycare. I’ll probably cry when I drop her off, they’ve got BIG shoes to fill after Ms. Erin, Ms. Linda, Ms. Amber, Mr. Todd, Ms. Carley, Ms. Makalla and Ms. Misela!!

Going Away Dinner

I just got in from my “Going Away” dinner at Shogun. A few of the girls from work and I all met and had supper tonight. We all had a nice time talking (Gossiping) and catching up on things outside of work. Thank you girls for tonight each of holds a special place in my heart – You all are what makes it hard to leave (minus Heather, she’s already gone).

Jenny Lou and her son Drew, Chrissy, me, Heather and her son Seth, Rhi (Deidra's son), Heather H, Deidra and Quinn

Heather H, Quinn and I were the bad ones we sent our kids with our parents and Chrissy kept hers locked in the cage!! LOL
Heather, Chrissy and I - and who is that poor little boy in the back by the door?

Jenny Lou, (trying to get out of the pic) Drew and Chrissy
He was such a little cutie, and very GOOD, the only time he made a sound was when he hit that sweet little mouth on the table.

Ok so I was thinking you guys have been there through the most important times in life…my wedding, pregnancy, and Tinslea (which you all threw me an Awsome Shower for). Thank you all again for everything, You all are Amazing!!
~~~Happy Birthday Mamaw Jane~~~
