A Message from Panama City

Good Morning! And it certainly looks like it is going to be a "good" one for the sun is shining this morning. We woke up to rain the last two mornings. Although, both days turned out to be nice ones. Sunday we all went to the ocean. Tinslea enjoyed the water, but didn't seem to like that sand on her. Josh, Jonnica and Tinslea went back to the Townhouse early. Shame they did because they missed Grandma Linda in the water. Most of us were in the water enoying the waves. Grandma and Amber were sitting at the edge of the water. Linda decides she is going to rinse the sand off and the rough water took her down...I mean straight down. First she went to her knees then flat on her back. I saw it all happen, but couldn't get to her. I have to admit I was laughing along with Jessi. Amber jumped up from the edge of the water and got to her (Linda is lying on her back with the water beating over her)all Amber could do was hold her head up out of the water. John finally got to her from where he was in the water and Ronnie (if you know him well you know how slow he moves)finally came off of the beach and the two helped her up on her knees and finally to her feet. It was at this time that all the people around us finally noticed something was wrong. Yes, Grandma is fine and I wonder now if we will get her back in the ocean. She says that the next time she is just going to leave the sand on her.

Yesterday started off dreary, after having some pretty good thunderstorms and lightening Sunday night. At 10:00 a.m. the sun still wasn't out and we all decided to take a 3 hour boat ride on Captain Anderson's. They advertised the viewing of dolphins and gators. Leaving the dock was fun for the kids, the seagulls swarmed around the boat and we fed them from our hands (or the others did, I just watched). About 30 minutes into the boat ride the dolphins did appear. The kids were excited. We watched as some of the fishermen in boats around us fed them. At 1 hr into the ride we docked on Shell Island and everyone got off for an hour of swimming. The beach here is was beautiful with clear water and NO seaweed. The waters at Panama City this week are full of it. Oh, did I tell you we saw a gator! Yup, when we docked at Shell Beach there was one and it stayed there by our boat until we left. After returning to the Townhouse we all ate and sat around the pool for a while then Josh, Jonnica, Tinslea, John,Jodi, Chelsea and I headed to the beach around 6:00 p.m. The water was full of big waves and Tinslea had a blast on the beach. Josh gave Tinslea her first surfing lesson (or so a little girl on the beach thought that is what he was doing...pretty funny). He had her sitting on a boogie board and was pulling her around on the sand and the little stinker started standing up on her own. She did a pretty good job balancing for a 13 month old. Do I see surfing in her future? LOL

It is 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning right now and Tinslea has been up about 20 minutes. I set my alarm for 6:00 a.m. to be up when she got up and take her on her morning walk. I missed out yesterday when I slept in a bit. Off to stroll my baby before her breakfast time.
